4 Foods to Eat Everyday

Tip #1: Adopt the Mindset that Change isn’t a Challenge, but an Opportunity

Stop stressing over what you can’t eat. Focus on diving into the new.

Continually filling yourself with doubt will kill your motivation faster than anything. Just becauseย the person across from you is eating a burger and you’re eating a salad does not mean you are lacking.
Constantly thinking that you are doing something that’s “too hard” or “too much” will not benefit your journey. If you continue thinking negatively, then your experienceย will be negative.
Think about it like this– you’ve gone your whole life consuming the same foods over and over again. Give yourself the opportunity to invite something new and exciting into your life. Change is exciting if you allow it to be.ย A different salad dressing perhaps? Pick up some new veggies you saw at the store. How about exotic fruits you’ve been wanting to try? Make your health journey a positive experience.

Remember the WHY. Ask yourself these 5 questions.

  1. Why are you changing your lifestyle this way.?
  2. What will it benefit.?
  3. How long are you doing this for.?
  4. What are you hoping to achieve?
  5. Will this make you happy.?

Tip #2: Mono-Meal

What’s a mono-meal? A mono-meal is when you eat one food for the entire meal; without combining it with other foods. Ex: 3-5 apples whole or sliced for a meal, or maybe a whole watermelon for one meal.

When you mono meal, you are giving your body a much-needed break from digesting many different foods at once.
Ex: Barbeque food is a great example of POOR food combining. You should never eat watermelon with bread, burgers, and chips etc.

We often give in to what our taste buds want, but our body is designed to break down one thing at a time!
Fruit is especially great to mono-meal in the morning because it’s water-dense, sweet, and full of vitamins. What could be better.?! Obviously, this doesn’t have to be every meal, but making mono-mealing an everyday habit will change your life. Even if it’s just a snack of a handful of baby carrots and nothing else– its a mono-meal.
Pay attention to how the foods make you feel and how your body reacts at the end of eating it all! The results will shock you.

Tip #3: The Little Things Add Up!

The little things that add up can be the good, bad, or ugly.
Raise your hand if during this coronavirus craziness you started eating more and more. Picking up foods you haven’t touched in years maybe? It’s okay, it makes sense to want comfort foods during such a shaky time. The key is to recognize when you stress eat, and try to control and maintain it by addressing your emotions.

That little squirt of lemon ๐Ÿ‹ you put in your water can save your life, especially if you combine with other healthy practices.

If you’re doing 10 minutes of exercise, drinking pure water, and eating your greens every day that will add up!
If you’re eating take-out, drinking alcohol, and sitting around binging TV every day for a month, that will add up.
Realize that there is moderation, and there is accumulation. Diet culture wants to make you think and believe that “everything in moderation is fine”, but if you’re eating fried chicken 2xs a week as opposed to 4xs a week– it’s still hurting your body by accumulation! Take control of your life, stop giving into your ego and your taste buds, and really listen to your body.
The amount of sickness that has come into the world is recent– humans have never been this sick in the history of history! Pay attention. Seek the truth, and stop falling into the same cycles of self-abuse. Take care of yourself, every day because self-love definitely adds up.

Tip #4: Freeze Your Produce

Last week at my local grocery store organic strawberries were $.98 per container! You bet I took advantage of that; instead of 1 container, I picked up 4!! As soon as I got home, I washed the strawberries, and froze 3 of the 4 containers and ate the other one as a mono meal! Now I have tons of strawberries for smoothies. SCORE!

When produce is on sale, that’s the best time to buy it in bulk.!

Doing this will set your future self up for success! Did you know that frozen fruits and vegetables are picked and frozen at their optimum peak? That means you’re getting great nutrients from the frozen foods, especially the ones you prepare yourself. Use those frozen fruits and veggies in your meals on a daily basis and watch yourself thrive!

Apply all of these tips to see the best results!
