Back in 2016 I made a decision that had a huge impact on my life. I decided to eat a completely vegan diet. What happened? My skin was clear, bloating was slim to none, my energy was radiant, and I literally lost 100 lbs ~ I was proudly pure vegan for 4 years straight!

This was me before and after going vegan in 2016-2019

Then 2020 hit and I completely fell off track. It was a huge shock ๐Ÿคฏ

I shifted from being fully alive and vegan to eating meat again and way more processed foods.
Not only that, but I was drinking more alcohol and basically neglected myself altogether.
I know Iโ€™m not alone when I say 2020 not only disrupted my mental health but my physical health as well.
I almost re-gained all the weight I had lost in those 4 years.

Slowly, but surely Iโ€™m succeeding now in re-focusing my life to revolve around optimal health and wellness.

My #1 focus is eating according to my blood type, which is Type A ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿพโ€๐ŸŒพ

Below, Iโ€™ve listed the Top 5 Wellness Tips that are optimal for each blood type based on the research from Dr. Dโ€™Adamo in his book ๐Ÿ“šโ€˜Eat Right for Your Typeโ€™.


I read this book while attaining my Degree in Holistic Nutrition and found it my best resource for determining what to eat to get my body back into balance and optimal health.
I highly recommend going to your local clinic or doctor’s office to determine your specific blood type.

So here are the top 5 wellness tips I have for each blood type so you can so start living more in alignment with your biological needs.

Type O – The Hunter

Personality Type: Strong, focused, driven, enduring, daredevil
Most Beneficial Foods: Quality organic meats are key in the Oโ€™s diet. Veggies include greens like lettuce, kale, broccoli, sweet potato, pumpkin. Fruits like bananas, mango, cherries, and blueberries are most beneficial.
Most Beneficial Herbal Teas: Ginger, dandelion, slippery elm, astragalus, rose hip
Best Exercise: Weight Training / High-Intensity workouts
Stress Mantra: โ€œI release my pent-up stress in the gym, so that it doesnโ€™t come out as anger in my day-to-day life.

Type A – The Farmer

Personality Type: Cooperative, patient, sensitive, needs calm environments to truly thrive
Most Beneficial Foods: Quality organic fruits and vegetables are key in the Aโ€™s diet. Oats, lentils, black beans and flaxseeds are some staples. Some animal-based foods that work with the A blood type are salmon, tuna, sardine, turkey and chicken.
Most Beneficial Herbal Teas: Alfalfa, fennel, milk thistle, holy basil, dandelion
Best Exercise: Yoga and tai chi
